ALM Engineering Solutions uses integrated IT systems to manage all aspects of its business. A comprehensive MRP system is used which provides complete visibility of every order from initial acknowledgement through planning, purchasing, scheduling, manufacture inspection and despatch.

The real time nature of the data capture provides instant updates allowing the team to manage, re-schedule, and issue work to the machining centres in the most effective way.

Forecast requirements can be loaded in to the system to “book capacity” in advance of the orders thus ensuring on-time delivery of your machined parts and assemblies. Any slippage can be easily identified and additional resources brought in to play to get back on track.

Completed components and assemblies are either delivered direct to the customer or end user, or may be held in stock for call off or kitting to specific parts. This whole process is managed by the system and full control and visibility is achieved at all times. Customers can request stock or manufacturing updates and these are produced within minutes and returned electronically for review.
